Blue background barcode in Illustrator

Hi all,

I just opened a PDF file from my computer which includes two barcodes. Both of these barcodes have a blue background. Do you know how I can fix this? The document used to have unknown fonts, so the text was marked red. I already fixed this. But I don't know how to fix the blue background from the barcodes.

You should not be opening PDFs in Illustrator. PDFs embed fonts, and maybe this UCP code was a font, or it may have been created with ESKO plug in or similar. 

How doe the PDF look if you open in Acobat? Would help if we know why you are trying to edit a PDF in Illustrator. If you are a printer you should just rip the file. Are you needing to strip out die lines or something like that?

I have uploaded the layers to Ton his message. I can not share the file, because the file contains personal information.

What does your Layer panel show?

I have blurred out the personal information and I have outlined the barcodes. If I toggle the layers of the barcodes off, the whole barcode including the blue dissapears. But whenever I open the file in PDF, the barcodes aren't blue.

It would be necessary that you make the Layer panel wider, so we can actually read what the layers are called <Af ....> ???
