bounding box and text alignment

Hi, 


1.

All of a sudden, I can't change the size of the bounding box.

 

2.

Is there any way to vertically align the text to the center?

View > Show Bounding Box?

Type > Area Type Options > Align > Center (make sure you have not added a return)
