Broken Apart Text Thread

I have a file that is a year old created in Adobbe Illustrator with a continous thread box over several art boards. When I open it now all the text is broke into many small threads. Is there an easy fix to reunite back to one thread? (I know this may not be the best program for this setup but its all I have.)

Looks like you opened a PDF.

What kind of file did you save?

Did you open it with the same Illustrator version?

Where has it been saved?

etc. As much info about the file as you have.

I think you are right Monika. I went back through several years of updating these files and it originally started as Microsoft word. I believe that was saved as pdf and placed into an illustrator file. I will be just updating the microsoft word file.
