Brush Tool Length Limit

When drawing with the paint brush tool it stops drawing after about 8 seconds. If i drawer fast or slow it only drawers for a short time. I timed it to find that it only draws for 8 seconds. If I then start drawing again it will draw longer but still stop after about 30 seconds.

Did you find an answer? I have something similar happening. It's not limited by time however; it seems like the distance my pen traveled is what determines it. I need help as I can't even make a hand signed name like this!
