Bug: Embed link multiplying

When I embed a linked image it embeds but doesn't register as embedded in illustrator without closing and restarting the app.

 

Instead what happens is it spams you with "Embed this or it will disappear"/whatever and then you command it to embed and it duplicates the unembedded version and spams you with the warnings again.

(2020 macbook pro w M1 chip.... )

 

Also this forum authenticates my account but then doesn't actually let me post via that authentication even after refreshing the page unless I go through Creative Cloud.

Are you working in an AI document or in an AIC?

What kind of image is it you link? A Cloud file? A file from your desktop or server? A file from the CC library?

 

Please give us steps to reproduce.
