Can Adobe Draw for iPad read AI files created on desktop?!

I was hoping to buy an iPad pro 12".  Before I purchase, I want to make sure that I can resume work on an AI file created in desktop illustrator, in Illustrator Draw for iPad. I just purchased an Adobe Cloud membership, thinking that this is possible. But, I can not seem to make it work with my current iPad. My current iPad is the regular size iPad pro. Can I actual edit AI files on an iPad? The file is visible in Adobe Cloud on iPad, but I can't seem to open it in draw or any other app.
