Can I batch convert a bunch of AI files saved without PDF compatibility turned on to PDF compatible?

I have a bunch of Illustrator files saved without PDF compatibility turned on. Does anyone know of a script that will do a Save As with PDF compatibility checked on and overwrite the existing file?

I looked through previous posts like this, but find only broken links. Cheers 🌴

    You could create an action, record a save as with the compatibility turned on.

    Use the Batch option from the Actions menu to save as the contents of a folder into a new folder.
