Can I put an InDesign file into Illustrator?

Hi, I've been sent a InDesign file that I need to work on, but I only have Illustrator. Is there anyway I can open the InDesign file into Illustrator, without having to buy/download InDesign?

Hi, No you cannot open Indesign file in Illustrator. But you can convert indesign file into Ai file.

Hi Allison,

I am sorry but you can not work on INDD file in Illustrator. Here is the complete list of the file formats supported in Illustrator:
