Question

Can I save Graphic Styles to CC Library?

I would like to save AI Actions and Graphic Styles to a Shared CC Library. Is that possible? I can save a PS Layer Style, why not an AI Style?

It seems this would be an easier way to distribute styles and actions to a workgroup.

Alternatively you can open the flyout menu for the Graphic Style panel and click "Save Graphic Style Library...".

This allows you to save an AI file containing all the Graphic styles in your doc. (Check carefully where this is being saved).

This "library" can then be imported into other files by using the "Open Graphic Style Library" > "other library" option in the graphic style panel flyout and navigating the the AI library file you just created.

This doesn't sit in the cloud, but should be reasonably portable.

it sucks when you update a library and have to distribute it to a department of other users though.

Thanks to both of you. Yes, I think creating a "host" object may work. I really need to learn scripting, but that's another subject.

Currently I don't scent a hidden way to store actions in libraries, but transfering graphic styles seems to work when you apply a graphic style to an object and then drag that object to the Library palette. Open another document and Alt drag the library item onto the scratch area. It should then be listed in the Graphic Styles palette as a graphic style.

Is that what you are looking for?

    Actions, I don't think so.

Graphic styles, you can apply a graphic style to an object and save the object in a library.

Place the object (don't link) and the graphic style will be added to the document.

You can then delete the object.

You can save multiple objects with multiple graphic styles in one go to create a kind of library.
