Where has free distort function gone? I'm trying to simple distort the perspective of one letter. It was in CC2017 but gone. How do I get same flexible tool function now.

Shift T gives the Touch Type tool, if thats what you mean, but it does not give you control over the Path.

Expanding the Free Distort effect will give you control over the Path.

There have been no changes in these tools since CC 2017.

Puppet Warp is a way to distort, but maybe you mean Effects > Distort & Transform > Free Distort?

Yep I've used that but it's not the same; it doesn't move the actual path. I'm sure the old distort tool nestled with the free transform tool moved the path as well.

Any suggestions. I just want control over the kind of distorted perspective i want including the path.

Underneath the scale tool is the puppet warp tool and hiding under it is the free transform tool. Is that the tool you are referring too?
