My Operating System is Win10 , and this OS was installed in a new SSD drive , I reinstalled my Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 , but the problem is....

I bought a 4TB 3.5 inches harddisk , and copy my ai file from my old 1TB drive into my new 4TB drive , it can not open when I double click the file in disk D , it showed the message "can not open the file" , but when I copy it to my desktop and double click it , it open correctly .

Can someone tell me where the problem is ? and how to solved it , thanks so much.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I agree with Mylenium's response. You may follow the instructions on https://www.windowscentral.com/how-take-ownership-files-and-folders-windows-10 to get complete access to the drive.
Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Simple: You botched your file permissions. Right-click --> Properties --> Security --> Advanced --> Take Ownership.
