Can not save AI file being used by AE Error:ID-54

Hi, I am sharing some vectors from AI with AE. I did some modifications in AI and want to save (files are already imported in AE), but I can't.

 

I get this dialogue box:

 

Is this expected? Or am I running with some specific solvable issue?

    Hello @Bruno22294960jibd,

    Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to close out of the project/After Effects before saving your work in Illustrator and checking if it helps?

    Also, if you're working from a removable/network drive or a cloud-synced folder like Dropbox/Google Drive/iCloud Drive etc., try moving it to a local folder like the desktop and share your observations.

    Hi, thank you for your answer; I saved a second version for the AI file and re-imported everything.
