Can't collect paths in layer when using isolation mode!

Question

Hello, I have paths inside a layer and when I entered the isolation mode (double clicking until reaching my path in the hierarchy), I couldn't use the 'Collect in new layer' option from the layer's panel.
So, I was wondering why this happens, and if it is intentional, why we can't make it work in isolation mode.
