Can't convert paths to a solid shape

Hi. I am trying to create the attached file to a solid shape so that I cabn import it into After Effects and animate it via Trim Paths. However, I have tried everything but cannot get the path layers into one solid vector object. So, when it's imported into AE it doesn't animate as lines as it should, instead it warps into shapes. Can anyone assist?

Default, hi.

I downloaded your file.

Document Info>Objects: Paths: 11 (6 open, 5 closed)

To close those open paths, I selected all and then used a script, “Close All Paths” which I downloaded long ago.

I do not have a link where you can download that script. Maybe another member has a link.

I don't think I understand the goal.

You want to make a compound path? Or turn those shapes into lines?

I want to import this vector graphic into After Effects and create a trim path, where the illustration draws in. However, as the source file isn't built as a shape it morphs instead of building in. Bascially, how can I make the illustration file into a shape as it's currently been made as paths in Illustrator. I have tried converting it into a shape but it doesn't work.

I have attached a screenshot of how it looks in AE to hopefully make it clearer.

This looks like the paths are not closed. You might want to check that.
