Can’t copy text without Illustrator outlining it

When copying grouped elements of text, Illustrator converts the text to outlines when pasting.

When the elements are ungrouped it works fine.

Happens since the last big update.

What could be the reason?

Looks like you've got an app or utility interfering with the clipboard.

Can you check what else is running besides Illustrator?

This is the solution. Thank you!
The Raycast app was the troublemaker.
