Question

can't correctly replace linked images with correct link in Ai

I can't correctly replace linked images when using the latest version (27.2) of adobe illustrator (the same files and the same repaired links in the old version are possible). In the first hour of repeated attempts, after clicking the replace button illustrator would continuously ask me for the same link location. Currently, the application does not respond directly. All the files that require replacing links cannot be opened either. I have redownloaded two older versions of illustrator, reopened my computer and tried with Windows Update, but nothing works.

Hello @童28255159o226,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind trying to put the Illustrator file and the images to a folder on the desktop and then trying to relink the pictures to check if it helps:

  • Check the "Apply to All" checkbox
  • Click on the "Repair" button
  • Browse to where the new file is
  • All images should be relinked automatically
  • You would need to repeat that for each AI file

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello, can you post a screnshot of the full window?
With the link panel visible if possible? (and the layers too)

It will be easier to spot if there is an issue there...
