Can't Edit files from Photoshop to Illustrator

When I am in Photoshop and want to edit the file from Illustrator in Photoshop I can't all of a sudden (since latest update) change the file. It says: The app "Adobe Illustrator 2022" can't open. -1703.

This causes a lot of extra work. Illustrator is open, but it can't open that file.

How can I make it go back? I tried to open an old version of both, but didn't work.
