Can't import EPS file, name starts with underscore

Hi guys,

I got an EPS file from somebody and I want to open it in illustrator. However, it says that its an unkown format etc., this is probably because the name of the file starts with an underscore, but if I change the name and try it again I get the same result. What to do?

Thanks in advance,

Greetings, Max

Are you sure it's not a dot-underscore ( ._ )?

That would be a normally invisible file from a Mac. Usually the original file is next to it. If that's missing, hopefully it was just moved somewhere else.

The problem has been solved. The files where informationfiles from MAC, (1 KB in seize), I got the orginal files and it worked.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can you File > Place the file?

And if that doesn't work, don't hesitate and upload it to Dropbox or the like so that we might try the file.
