Can’t move anchor point in illustrator

Hello!

can someone help me with Why I can't move anchor point in Illustator? instead my path seems to double itself and I get a new anchor point to where I tried to move, but the original anchor point position also persists and I can't delete it. Somehow this problem emerged after scaling my path.

Can you please take proper screenshots with the system tools? Those JPEGs are huge and take ages to load.

 

Exactly what are you doing when this happens? Using which tool and pressing which keys while moving the point?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I was trying to demonstrate how my anchor point doubles instead of moving.

 

I am using direct selection tool for my anchor point (only this one selected at the corner) and then transform > move > 0,03 right on the x-axis. My anchor point does move but I get the original remnant and cant get rid of it.

Please show the layers panel and the appearance panel. Layers panel needs to be open so objects are visible in it.
