Can't reorder swatches?

HI all. I'm having an issue where I can't reorder the color swatches in the palette. If I drag a new green that I've added to be down with the other greens, it either stays where it was, or reorders everything. If I quit Illustrator and fire it back up, I can edit the palette. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks.

Ai 29.4 (to avoid the font mixups), MBP M3 Max running OS 15.6.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end in Illustrator 29.4, but could not. Could you check if Illustrator behaves this way with all files? Also, kindly share a small screen recording of the problem, so we can better assist you?

HA! I tried doing a screen recording and it worked correctly. I put another post asking about settings... I think it's something in my settings or palette prefs or something. Definitely operator error.
