Can't seem to drag a folder into my side bar in Finder (alias) when saving from Illustrator

I'm sure I used to be able to drag a folder from my saving windoiw into my Finder side bar (alias) when saving a file from Illustrator? Is doesnt seem to be working now. Anyone know how to fix this. I have to come out of Ilustrator, go into finder and then drag a folder into my side bar in Finder. Very tedious. I'm sure you used to be able to drag a folder (creating an alias) straight from the saviong window in Illustrator straight into your Finder side bar? Or did I just imagine this :-))) I'm using Illustrator 2024 28.7.5 and Mac OS 15.3.1

I'm having the same issue since upgrade to Sequoia. Trying to drag a finder folder to finder sidebar doesnt work from adobe apps but does work from the mac finder.  See attached video for example

Does it work with any app other than Mac Finder?

Sequoia is relatively new, so you might just need to wait a little.

No, it only works in Mac Finder, probably a mac issue as opposed to Adobe. Will have to wait for the next update I'd say!

Hello @richardesignerUK,

I am unable to understand your workflow. Would you mind sharing a small screen recording of the same, so I can check it with the team?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Here is a screen recording showing the problem...which I'm still having...in Text Edit. Same for all my programs. Maybe its a Mac issue? I can't drag a folder from my desktop into the side bar, so I can save in a position in my sidebar. Very annoying.

Hi @richardesignerUK,

Thanks for sharing the update and the recording. Since you mentioned that the same behavior occurs in other apps like TextEdit as well, this confirms that it's not specific to Adobe apps but rather a system-level behavior on macOS. I'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support to confirm this behavior.

Let me know if you hear back from them or find a workaround, it'll help others in the community facing the same issue.
