Can't turn off live preview - Real time drawing turned off

Having a weird issue where if I draw a shape illustrator is showing a live preview of the stroke and fill, however I have "Real time drawing and editing" turned off?

Is there a way to get this back to how it used to be where:
• Viewing using GPU
• Real time drawing and editing turned OFF
• No live preview

Version: 29.8.1

Previous versions worked different. See: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50476110

Same here. Very annoying. Thanks for the correction in the next version!

Hello @marko75904204,

Our team has tried fixing this in the latest Illustrator (Beta). Would you mind installing to see if it helps resolve the problem?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello @marko75904204,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you share a small screen recording of your exact workflow and the version of Illustrator where you did not have the same problem (https://adobe.ly/487nux5) so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for getting back so quick screen recording here.

So in the previous version the Real-Time drawing and Editing performance was turned off and view was set to view using GPU.

Now it has live preview turned on when drawing even when Real-Time drawing and Editing is turned off the only way to have it perform how it used to is to set the view to using CPU, but I want to return to GPU preview with no live-preview
