Question

Can't use 'on image' controls for Radial Repeat

Hello!

I'm able to repeat radially normally, but cannot edit the same way most tutorials say I should be able to:

When using radial repeat, my image repeats in a circle just like it is supposed to, and along the radius, I see two sets of controls, a single dot at the top that is supposed to change the radius, and a set of arrowed half dots at the bottom that is supposed to clear away some of the repeated shapes.

Neither of those controls works at all, and don't respond to being selected or clicked on. I have the controls at the top of the screen that seem to work just fine, so I can manually change the amount of repeats and the radius, but that's pretty clumsy compared to just clicking and dragging.

Why can't I select the radius and 'sweep' controls? I am on 26.0.3 and on a PC with Windows 10. Thanks!!

From your screenshot it looks like you may have bounding boxes turned off View > Show Bounding Box, but that doesn't explain why the controls aren't working. It sounds like Illustrator needs a reset.

Have you tried shutting down Illustrator, restarting and testing again in a new file? After that, if it's not fixed, reset your preferences (link below has instructions).

Hopefully that will fix it, let us know.
