Cannot Access Layers in Illustrator 2022 V. 26.0.3

Hi all. 

 

Having an issue with accessing items my layer window on Illustrator 2022 v. 26.0.3, running on MacOS Monterey 12.2. More specifically, the layer window shows me my individual layers, but won't let me access any sublayers (aka the individual design assets). I've tried a good handful of view options, closing the file and reopening, restarting computer, renaming the file, opening a new file and re-rentering the old one (which the layers showed fine on a new file)...I'm at a loss. 

 

Anyone experiencing this? Any advice would be great!

In the Panel menu > Layers Panel Options, is Show Layers Only checked?

In the Layers Panel menu, under panel options, make sure to untick Show Layers Only.

      Ugh. Yes, it was. Thank you very much. Had to re-install everything this weekend after a hard-drive fail, and apparently didn't dig deep enough!
