cannot clipping mask image inside text

Hello, I was struggling to use clipping mask function

I'm trying to clipping mask image inside the text, but it doesn't work

when I clipped it, the image disappeared. I don't know how to fix this.

Try to select the outlined text first and select: Object > Compound Path > Make

Then select the image with the compound path on top and make the clipping mask.
