Cannot get out of outline view (error)

Hello

I have been looking through this forum for my question but cannot find an answer that works.

My file opens in Outline View and I am unable to change it into Preview View editing.

I tried

1. Ctrl Y

2. Going to Display and Clicking on Preview

3. Clicking on the Eyes

But all the above actions came to one error that says Cannot exit Preview Mode, cannot execute command (or something like that. I am using the Japanese version)

Is the file corrupted?

Is it a large file?

Which version, which system?

Sometimes with large files or files with many effects Illustrator is unable to render because of low memory. Particularly in versions below CS6 or on computers that have not enough RAM.

Monika, you are right. I am working on a very old company computer with not much memory space and when the IT guy helped me delete some old unused files (used before I started working here), I was able to open the file.
