Question

Cannot open cloud files

Time and time again, when I try to access my cloud data, I get an error message saying that the account I'm logged in with doesn't have access. I only have one account … one day it works, the next it doesn't, and so on. This is so incredibly annoying. What's causing this?

@xfelix I have seen this message many times on this forum, encountered it myself years ago when testing this when it was new. I believe it is still an unfinished feature. The main missing feature is the missing local backups. Unfortunately the feature with the local creative cloud files folder has gone.

Can you try the things posted in here?

Hi Monika – thanks for the hint … tried all of this already to no effect, unfortunately.

@xfelix It is not a solution, but you can try to download the file from the Creative Cloud app > Files

Hi Ton – thanks, I’ve already tried that, and yes, it works. But I'd really like to use the cloud files and that just isn't reliably possible.

I prefer using a cloud service like OneDrive, DropBox, Box, or GoogleDrive. I keep the files locally on my hard drive(s) but they are backed up to the cloud when I’m not busy. The services keep versioning--not exactly like the Adobe Cloud--but good enough for my needs.
