Cannot preview bounds

Recently got a new laptop and am trying to configure illustrator as it was on my PC. Before I used to be able to go to Windows > Align > and scroll down to tick preview bounds on. But now the option is gone with only scale corners and scale effects remaining. Has it been moved?

Your screenshot is showing the transform panel. You should click on the middle tab the Align panel.

The "Use Preview Bounds" option is in the flyout menu of the Align palette.

It has never been in the Transform palette.
