Cannot save file

Im trying to save a file in Illustrator, but keep failing.

It says: "Illustrator tried but could not save the file"

Help please.

Which version and sytem is it?

Where are you trying to save?

What's in the file? Is there text in it, linked images? A lot f effects, transparency?

Sorry to hear about your experience. Are you trying to save to a network/removable drive or a cloud-synced folder like Dropbox/Google Drive/etc.? If yes, kindly try saving it to a local folder on your computer or saving it as a cloud document (https://adobe.ly/3UpVcVW) to see if it helps.
