Cannot use Illustrator tools since updating to Catalina 12.5.1

Hi all,

Im having some serious problems with illustrator since I updated the iOS to Catalina 12.5.1

Whenever I select a tool, no matter what, when I move my cursor to the image, it just actiavtes the move/grab tool.
Things ive already tried to no effect:
Restarting my computer

Restarting the illustrator app

Free transform

Turning on/off my bounding box

uninstalled and reinstalled the iOS

uninstalled and reinstalled the illusrtator app

 

I have plenty of available space and ram.

 

Im also having spacebar issues in other Adobe apps like Premier Pro and After Effects, but thats for another forum.


This is so frustrating and I am losing so much time on projects that I need to complete.

I would sincerely appriciate any tips on how to fix this.

I have a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021)
Apple M1 Max Chip

with 64GB

Hello annil39278233,

 

Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to reboot your computer in Safe Mode and then checking if it helps resolve the problem? If it does, chances are that there is a background application interfering with the keyboard shortcuts/Illustrator. You might want to check with your IT support to help remove/disable it.
