CANT OPEN MY PDF FILES IN ILLUSTRATOR

Hi Guys!!

So I have a PDF file filled with my illustration works (created in AI & saved as PDF). The file is 56mb in size and now while i try to open it it says' "COULD NOT OPEN THE FILE", without providing any reason or something.

I tried cob=nverting in into EPS or AI, online, but all my illustration from the file is deleted.

Please help me out to sort this issue.

When saving as PDF from Illustrator, did you turn on Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities?

Hey Barbara,

Yes I did, I have been working on that file for few days ( in illustrator), it never had any problems, until yesterday.

So you don't have the original AI file left?

Why convert Online, of you can export different formats out of Acrobat Pro DC?

Did you try older Versions of Illustrator? (just install from CC Desktop App)

You might be able to open the PDF in Acrobat, copy the illustration and paste it into Illustrator.
