cant save new illustrator files

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind providing read & write permission to the folder where you are saving the file? The steps are on this YouTube video: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTHIAxnhLXM).

Also, if you are trying to save on an external drive or a network server/ shared folder or online drives (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) directly, then I would suggest saving the file locally on a Documents or Desktop folder and then moving it manually there.

If this doesn't help, would you mind sharing the screenshot of the error along with the information asked by Monika?

Please tell us about your hardware specifications.

Is there enough room on the disk?

Where do you save the file? On the local harddisk? Do you save it into a synchronized folder such as Google Drive or the like? If so, try another location.

What's in the file?

If there is text in the file: are all the fonts OK?

Is there any error message? What happens: Illustrator just crashes or the computer as well?
