How do I make vector images I am adding to my CC libraries in Illustrator to stay vector? I (and my team) need to use them in multiple vector files and I just want to be able to drop them into new illustrator file as vector. Right now, they are coming in as PNGs when I add them into the new file. Is there a way to do this or they alsways going to be pngs?

Correct answer Ton Frederiks

If they are vector they will stay vector.

There are 2 ways to place them.

If you just drag them onto an artboard, they are linked and behave like linked images/files.

If you Alt - drag them from the library, you place the original editable content.
