Can you double click the intersection of the rulers to reset the 0/0 point?

Your guideline is currently not at the center of the artboard.

No, your X/Y 0/0 point should be at the top left corner of your artboard and your vertical center guide should be in the middle of your artboard (5) to verify the position.

Hello @Hendy374084080dng,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, if Illustrator behaves this way with all files, and a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/3A3VJq7), so we can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hi @Hendy374084080dng,

Thank you for sharing the screen recording. Could you please share the file with us or try checking in a new file to see if the issue persists with a particular file or object? Once you share the file, we will check and share our observations with you, as we are unable to replicate the issue on our end.

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you!

Best,

Can you show a screen shot of the object you're trying to center-align? If you select the object you can check its position relative to the artboard. Numerically it should be easy to see if the object is center-aligned to the artboard if the artboard has a size using sensible round numbers.

Some optical illusions do occur with object alignment. Depending on the shape of the object it may not appear to be correctly aligned even though math numbers say it is aligned.
