Question

Changeing values in diagrams, producing weird results

I am trying to change the values in an existing diagram...

to new numbers. After confirming, or hitting enter, this is, what the result looks like:

I could live with the fact, that the design changes, but here the size changes.
Has anyone encounterd this problem or maybe has a solution to it?

Thank you in advance!

    Hello Harshika,

thank you for your reply! In fact, my problem seems to be related to those two, you linked to. Yet I did not actually see a suitable solution among the postings.

By now, it turns out, that I do have to start from zero, because updating the numbers results not just in a change of style, but more annoyingly, in different sizes, different positions and even different proportions of the elements used in the diagram.

I may add, that with previous versions of illustrator (around 2 years ago), I did not encounter this problem - which, for me is a hint, that it is a bug.

Generally speaking, I think the design of this important tool is very much outdated and really needs and deservers a major update in function and usability!

Thank you very much and kind regards,

    Joerg.
