Changing color of the AI cloud

Hello,

I'm new to Illustrator and having problems changing this orange cloud back to white.  Can you help explain why and the steps I need to take to fix this issue?  

I've run into this issue with other AI images too.

I think I figured out what I've been doing wrong.  I didn't have the object in Illustrator selected.

    Is this AI in the sense of Adobe Illustrator?

    Or in the sense of Artificial Intelligence?

     

    Is it raster or vector?

    Can you select the shape with the black arrow tool and do you then see orange in the Color panel (Window > Color)? That's also where to change it.
