Choppy edges zoomed in

Hi,

 

Is anyone experiencing this issue in Illustrator. When I zoom in on the edges of my artwork there seems to be this weird choppy edges. I've taken two screenshots of this issue. In normal view you can see I have a circle but it has very bad edges. In the second screenshot i turned the outline effect on and the edges are not solid and some dges are not visible at all.

 

This is an issue that rather new. I have a late 2016 15' MacBook Pro updated to latest software.

Hi Kat,

With this particular file it was medium res and changing it up to high did make a difference. Thanks

If you use View > Preview on CPU, does it change anything?

Hi Doug,

 

Thanks for the reply, yes I did test CPU but switching it off slowed down the software quite a bit. So that is not an option.

Take a look at this screen shot. When you set up your file what are your settings? The higher the raster effect the finer the detail...
