Clipping fiasco (Illustrator)
My plea for help: I'm trying to clip a white path to the edge of an orange ellipse below. No matter what I do, there is a miniscule orange line leftover at the end. It's visible while I'm working in the artboard, but more important is definitely noticeable when exported to .png. it's not death to this logo but it's definitely unprofessional looking.
These are the things I've tried:
- Duplicate ellipse (so it's the same dimensions), bring to top, then create a clipping mask. Orange line.
- Duplicate ellipse, bring to top, object>path>divide objects below, then delete scraps. Orange line.
- Duplicate ellipse, bring to top, select both then use Pathfinder>crop. Egregious orange line.
I worry that Illustrator may just not be that precise. The offending line, granted, is far less than 1px wide, but holy cow I feel like this shouldn't be a issue.
Please help. For my sanity.
