Cloud Document Edits Missing

Hello All,

Earlier this weekend, I made some important changes to a cloud document in Illustrator. A few hours later, I returned to my device and seen that Illustrator had been closed, for what and why, I do not know. When I re-opened the app to work on the file again, an older version from the beginning of the prior week was the most recent version available. The history panel only consisted of the actions taken since my recent opening of the document and the version history shows a version from 6/28 even though I had worked on the document way before then. Where are my edits from 6/29- 7/1 and is there any way to retrieve them.

Hi @James23134007grmy,

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your cloud document in Illustrator. We understand how frustrating it can be to lose important changes. It's possible that the auto-saving process may not have been completed before the app closed unexpectedly, resulting in the loss of recent changes when you returned to your device. I recommend checking the Adobe Creative Cloud assets website's "Version History" to see if your missing edits are available there. If they are not, I'm afraid it might be impossible to retrieve them.

For future precaution, I suggest manually saving your work periodically.

Also, please check the auto-save settings in Ai Preferences > File Handling to check if the "Automatically Save Recovery Data Every:" option is enabled and set to a reasonable time interval to avoid any future mishappenings.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
