 I am having the problem of coloring this flat flat sketch. It keeps coloring those parts of the back side of the shirt (bottom that's also partially red) any idea how to fix it or tips I can try too!

Based on an assumption about your further working with this and similar clothing design, I believe it is better and more efficient to obtain and keep closed paths.

You could use Live Paint to fill that even when paths are not closed.

It looks like the shape of the shirt has one or more anchor points that are broken open. Those points need to be joined. Then the red color will fill the boundaries of the shirt shape properly. The spots where the fill is jumping outside the shirt shape are likely spots where anchor points are broken open. Some third party plugins, such as Vector First Aid by Astute Graphics, can automatically fix those problems.
