Color change on exporting

Hi there,

This is my first post to this community, so excuse me if this is a repost. I've been struggling with this for a long time so I decided to look for some help here.

While using sRGB color profile on both Illustrator and monitor profile (MacOS) any export I make (jpg, png, etc) comes out with a different shade from the original. The difference is subtle but I can't get to export it with its original 'brightness'. Here's a sample (I'm seeing now that the screenshot I made threw a totally different result, so I'm kinda lost here).

Any idea?

Thanks!

Can you share an example file that shows your problem?

CC filesharing, Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google...

I'm attaching a PNG and a JPG exported from the same Illustrator file. I'm also attaching a screenshot where you can see how I'm hoping the color to look when exported. Let me know if that works.

Can you share an Illustrator example?

Let's keep it short:

Understand Photoshop color management

Without any CM you'll always have issues, especially on such similar colors.

Thanks Mylenium. Think I am aware about the basics.

@Monika Gause What you're seeing is a color background that's been exported from Illustrator as a png. On top there's a text with the same Hex color. The software where I'm testing that is Keynote.

Thank you.

The problem with Illustrator's PNG export is that it doesn't embed color profiles in it. You would need to open that PNG in an image editor (or any other app that can embed color profiles) and embed the desired profile in it. Do not convert to profile. Just embed one.

What are we seeing here?

A rectangle and a text on top of it, but what are you wondering about?
