Color issue Ilustrator

Question

Hi, whenever I print artwork from an Illustrator PDF the color is different than it appears on my screen. What am I doing wrong?

I made this artwork in Illustrator, I saved it as a pdf (print quality, no color conversion) and sent it to print. The colors all came out looking different. The printshop told me to make sure I was in CYMK mode which I am. I am new to Illustrator so its possible that something basic is wrong with my settings or the way I'm saving it.

Did you start out in CMYK colour mode, or in RGB and then switched?

You have probably defined colors that cannot be printed.But maybe something else is off. Can you give us more details?
