color mode in transparency doesn't work

Hello, I open a file where a pattern was used with color mode transparency, I see it colored in blue, but when I copy it to a new document I loose the color and when I try to do it manually the color mode doesn't work. But multiply and other mode works fine. please help !

I attached an example.

You can also try to flatten the transparency with both the object and the colored background selected. Copy the result to a CMYK document. Be careful, this is destructive, use it on a copy. It may look like intended, but it can result in objects converted to images.

You probably copied it from an RGB document to an CMYK document.

it's true ! but I have to keep the document I am copying it into in CMYK how to make it work ?

Then you might want to do create that colored pattern in Photoshop and place it in Illustrator.
