Color picker working incorrectly

In Adobe Illustrator they added a color pick tool inside the color pallet dialog box which is great, so we can now pick a color from a different place on the screen… Only problem is that after a color has been selected the picker stays active, so anywhere you click it picks that color, even if you want to click on the OK button it will sample the grey of the button and overrides the color that was picked in the first place!!? Photoshop has been using this same type of color picker for years - it’s as if Illustrator doesn’t belong to Adobe and the developers started from scratch in learning how a color picker should work!?

I cannot replicate your problem with the eyedropper picking up the OK button color.

Which version are you using? Did you try the Restart/Reset options?

I just updated to the latest version and the OK button issue is fixed, but the bug is still there. After picking the color, the color picker doesn’t “deselect”, it stays active. So if you click on a color and then double click the hex value to copy it to the clipboard, it selects the color of the hex value text box. Or click on any of the RGB values to change it, the color resets to white or grey

Is the Color Panel options set to Grayscale?
