Color problem on illustrator

Hi there, 

I've been having problems with colors. So right is the logo file I got from the client and when I try to drag it into a new file, the color keeps getting muted. 

I found out that the logo file is using a Pantone color (PANTONE 281U and PANTONE 109U) and is a CMYK file as well as the new file.
