Color swatches difference in artwork

Hello,

I have an issue regarding the color. Indeed I looked for answer everywhere but can't find a solution.

I would like to apply an electric blue on my work. When I select the color in the color swatches, I can find the color I am looking for. But when I click Ok, the color turn to a purple.

Event if my settings are CMYK or RVB, it's exactly the same error color.

Could you help me to figure out how to resole this problem please ?

File >> Document Color Mode >>CMYK (For all things destined to print)

File >> Document Color Mode >> RGB (For all things digital: web, video, smartphone)

Always set  document color mode correctly first. Only use color palette in the matching color mode.

Adobe really should disable for example RGB in color palette, when you are in a CMYK document. No purpose in mixing colors wrong mode, the values change after you exit out fo the input fields.

You can get a more electric blue in RGB document color mode, as the color gamut of RGN is larger and encompasses lots of bright colors.  To get an super electric blue in print the best you can do is 100 cyan with maybe some yellow (depending on the color you are liking).  Yellow is the one ink that actually can act as a brightener, but will begin to look teal with more than  about 10%

Can you give us the CMYK color percentages of the "Electric Blue" you want to use?  Also, can you give us the CMYK equivalents of the "Purple" you end up with?

    floreg,

What happens if you create an RGB Mode document, then try?
