Color Swatches used dont show in seperation preview

I am in CKMY mode when I pick a color swatch it does not get applied to my separation preview.

Are you Spot colors set to CMYK and Not SPOT? if so switch them to SPOT then they weill show up in the Separations preview.

You have all channels visible, there is no spot color, what do you expect to happen?
