Color values are changing on Illustrator 2019

Hi! I've been struggling with my files in illustrator and the colors.

I have my file exclusively for social media where is RGB and with the adjustment sRGB, but for some reason, when i close the file and open it again other day, the colors are way more obsure and less vivid. Really, it has been numerous times i have to change every color of my logo to see it the way it was but i am done, i don't know why its happening and i have read many times about the adjustments but i cant understand it so much.

The file is to make content for facebook and I export the content to JPEG as RGB, 300dpis,...

Thanks for reaching out. If I understand your query correctly, the colors values are changing when you reopen the file after saving and closing it. That's definitely not a usual behavior. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  • OS (Exact version of Windows/ MAC)
  • Few screenshots or a small video of the issue.
  • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, could you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the download link.
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

Which version and system is it?

Is color management set up corectly?

Did you create an RGB file?

This is not an issue with the graphic card? In View > Preview on CPU it look the same?

Hi!

The Illustrator is CC 2019, about the color management I don't know which one is best to use, I only read about de sRGB.

The file is RGB since created.

I checked the Preview as CPU and i don´t think the color is changing...

When i mean that the colors changes, is also the numbers of the color as RGB:

FROM: R:128, G: 146, B: 151 (a color blue, with grey undertone)

TO: R: 128, G: 128, B: 133 (totally grey)

I would choose one of the Web/Internet Settings that can be selected in Edit> Color Settings...

A little difference in numbers can be expected when exporting as JPEG, but not as much as you mention.
