Colour Swatch Book Generator

Hello,

I am new to scripting in Illustrator and would love to know if this is possible: a script that generates  a4 pages of colour swatch boxes. Say 7 columns and 10 rows of boxes per page. There would need to be an algorithm that would generate the gradual colour change between each box.

Any advice / pointers would be much appreciated
