Como tirar a mira do Gradiente ?

Olá pessoal,fui selecionar a ferramenta Gradiente e está aparecendo uma mira para mim,porém tinha que aparecer aquela barra.

For text, first delete all fills and strokes from the text. Then select the text object with the selection tool (just one click).

Then in the Appearance panel apply new fill to the text object. Put the gradient on it.

And then also release the capslock?

Ele aparece quando coloco uma forma,porém ao colocar um texto e aplicar o Gradiente ele não aparece.
